SPOKANE, Wash. – The Blackbird Tavern reopened Monday after briefly closing to renovate and change their menu to feature more southern concept foods.
The Blackbird Tavern, located on 905 N Washington Street, closed for a few weeks this month after being open at their location for three years.
The restaurant is now a barbecue spot, with a twist on classics like brisket, pulled pork, ribs and more.
The restaurant will have 24-hour run wood-fired smokers with staff monitoring them around the clock.
“We’ll offer traditional smokehouse barbeque from the South you don’t see often in Spokane,” owner and operator Patrick McPherson said.
McPherson said once they are out of brisket, they will have to close
The ordering system also changed; it is now fast-casual, self-order and self-pay through kiosks.
Servers will still bring the food to your table and that is where you order your drinks and dessert.
