Explore the great outdoors free of cost on Monday

You can get free admission into state parks in Washington Monday!

WASHINGTON – On Monday, Mar. 19, you can explore the great outdoors for free.

The Washington State Parks agency is celebrating its 105th birthday by offering free admission to parks statewide.

Washington state has over 100 state parks, including several in Eastern Washington.

State parks in Spokane include Riverside State Park, Mt. Spokane State Park and Little Spokane River Natural Area. Centennial Trail State Park is only a short drive away in Nine Mile Falls.

Listed below are other free admission days:

April 14 — Spring day

April 22 — Earth Day

June 2 — National Trails Day

June 9 — National Get Outdoors Day

June 10 — Fishing Day

Aug. 25 — National Park Service 102nd Birthday

Sept. 22 — National Public Lands Day

Nov. 11 — Veterans Day

Nov. 23 — Autumn day
