Seattle jewelry company makes luxury pieces for Husky, Coug and Zags fans

Allison Claire Fine Jewelry also features pieces for Gonzaga and Washington State University faithful.
The diamond and 14k gold pendant from Allison Claire is a replica of the statue at the entrance to the University of Washington campus.

Husky fans can rep the purple and gold by wearing actual gold - and diamonds - from a Seattle-based fine jewelry line.

Allison Claire features high-end, university-licensed earrings, rings, necklaces and pendants.

University of Washington alumn Allison Bobrow hopes her luxury line of collegiate jewelry will fill a void in school spirit wear.

"I've always been a huge Husky fan and I've been in a lot of situations where I needed to look professional and represent my team at the same time,” she said. “Purple shirts and purple sweaters - you can only have so many."

Bobrow teamed up with designer Danielle Saudino, a veteran of the jewelry industry.

"People may not spend $2,000 all the time for a piece of jewelry, but this is something that's really meaningful to them and that's been super exciting,” Saudino said.

The UW jewelry starts at $130 for silver W earrings, and goes up to more than $2,000 for their best-seller - a hand-set pavé diamond pendant.

Bobrow went the extra mile to make sure the W in her line is a replica of the statue at the entrance to campus.

“I took my little tape measure, jumped up on the (statue) in the middle of the day, and just measured it so it's the exact same ratio,” she said, laughing. “And that's why it resonates, I think, with so many people."

Allison Claire doesn't exclusively serve the University of Washington. There are also pieces for Washington State University fans and Gonzaga faithful.

The brand also sells cufflinks for men.

"We see the jewelry as heirloom and keepsake,” Bobrow said.
