Hey guys, it's Aja, back with another little DIY project! I wanted to make a piece of art for my daughter's room and I love words & typography. I have seen this idea to use stickers for your lettering instead of a stencil or vinyl and thought I would give it a try! This project was super easy and I love how it turned out.
Here's what you'll need:
1. Canvas
2. Letter stickers
3. Paint & paintbrush

I already had this old canvas lying around that I painted dark grey. I liked the square shape and since it was found in my stash of neverending things to use/make-over, it was FREE! Perfect.
I placed the stickers to spell out "I love you to the moon and back" which is a much-loved phrase around our house.

Press the stickers down really well once you have them where you want them. I then did a quick layer of the grey paint over the stickers to help seal the edges.

Now it's time to paint!

I did a few layers of two different blues to get a bit of a distressed, layered look.

I let the top paint get mostly dry, then used a toothpick to peel off the stickers.
It's not perfect, but I love it in my girl's room!
