Mercury glass is all the rage I have discovered a way to create beautiful candle holders on a budget. These make great gifts or of course, you could always keep them for yourself!

Here's what you will need:

I bought this looking glass spray at my local craft store with the weekly 40% off coupon for $6.00. Then went to the dollar store for candles and glass candle holders. You can choose any kind you like!

DIY Step 1: Tape a plastic bag to cover the outside of the glass.  I used painters masking tape.

Step 2:  Spray mist the inside of the glass with water.

DIY Step 3:  Shake the can like crazy.  Believe me, the looking glass spray really needs to be shaken up.  Then spray on top of all of the water droplets.  You want the water to create bubble holes in the silver spray and to run down the inside of the glass.

It dries really pretty fast.  Once it's dry, remove the tape and bag, pop in a candle and voila!

Places like Ballard Designs offer similar ones for $30 each. My total investment was $3 and 10 minutes of my time.
