Here, all that glitters is, well, glitter!  Plain plastic fruit and rustic pinecones become a beautiful centerpiece once they are covered in glitter! Of course, anything covered in glitter is beautiful in my book!

Grab some pinecones from the yard and some plastic fruit from a local dollar store and you're on your way to a new centerpiece!

I started out just trying to cover the pears with silver glitter, they are pretty with a hint of glitter, but I wanted completely shiny fruit so I first coated the pears with looking glass spray.

I bought this looking glass spray at my local craft store with the weekly 40% off coupon for $6.00.  I had it left over after making mercury glass candle holders.  But you could use any silver spray paint, it is pretty inexpensive.

The spray is quick drying, so once I sprayed all of my pears with paint, the first pears were already dry.

I sprayed the pear with spray adhesive (again about $6 with a 40% off coupon, but it's a big can) and sprinkled on glitter. Just beware that the spray adhesive goes EVERYWHERE so be sure to work in a well ventilated area and keep other items off the work area...like your phone, keep your iPhone away from the spray adhesive. Not that I would know anything about that...no way.

I did the same thing with the pinecones only I used white glitter that looks more like sugar.  I just sprayed the tops and tips of the pinecones and then sprinkled on the glitter.

There you go!  Glittering glamor for your holiday table that's easy and affordable. We tried rolling the fruit in the glitter but it really did not go on as well as the sprinkling, but you can try it anyway you'd like. Enjoy!
