Originally, I found this awesome recipe on Pinterest and I showed it on the news this morning. However, I actually love the SkinnyTaste.com Green Monster Smoothie version MUCH better. So, be sure to check that out. I did use frozen spinach only because I like how cold it is versus the 'real' spinach. I don't know that it matters but to me, it made a difference. The basic ingredients are milk, spinach, flaxseed and banana but the SkinnyTaste.com version adds peanut butter and yogurt.
I will say that most of the folks who saw us make this on the set did not think it would turn out so well and I'll admit, I'm not too thrilled about drinking anything green. But, it tastes GREAT and it's packed full of nutritional value so that's a mega plus! Try it!!
