SPOKANE -- Crazy G’s Restaurant on North Division made a large contribution to the Inland Northwest Honor Flight program Tuesday.

Owners Chris and Gary Swiss raised $8,000 through a series of fundraisers, including a silent auction and customer donations. The restaurant also donated a portion of its proceeds.

The donation will send eight more veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor.

KREM 2 News anchor Randy Shaw presented the couple with a plaque and a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol building in May to thank them for their patriotism.

Honor Flight relies entirely on community donations. Click here to find out how you can help.
