SPOKANE—KREM2 and Horizon Hospice are teaming up to help raise money for the Honor Flight Program.

The Honor Flight program needs donations now more than ever.

The program pays for veterans to see the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. built in their honor.

More than 30 World War II veterans from Spokane will land on the east coast Monday night to visit our nation's capitol.

In the past, Honor Flight received donated airline tickets from Southwest.  Those tickets are no longer available so it costs about $1,000 for each veteran to take the trip.

There is already one more trip planned for June, however, the group doesn’t have anymore funds for trips after that.  That’s why KREM2 and Horizon Hospice are teaming up to raise money for the program.
