Honor Flight CD "In Your Honor" makes Grammy list

SPOKANE, Wash.-- Mission Control Records has announced the CD entitled "In Your honor" with local, regional and national artists has made the first round selection list for the upcoming Grammy Awards.

"In Your Honor" is on the list in the category of Best Engineered Album. Karl Bingle was the engineer.

The album featured songs from KREM 2 News anchor Randy Shaw, folk singer Chad Mitchell, blues singer Sammy Eubanks, the Winton Elementary School Special Chorus, Sha Na Na and the Seldom Scene.

Two of the many singers on the album, Sherman Andrus and Lonnie Bingle, who sand “America the Beautiful" on the Honor Flight CD also made the list under Best Gospel Songs under their own album, "A Servant's Heart."

Each of the selections and artists considered for the Grammys will be narrowed down to five in each category and those will become Grammy nominees.The process will take several more weeks.

The sales from "In Your Honor" became the single largest business donation ever to Honor Flight.
