I have always had the peeve that women leave their purses open and walk away from their cart or counter Now would you leave your front door open. No! But, ya leave your purse unattended and tempt fate. Snap or zip your purse, I generally attach it to the cart with the kiddy seat belt so that my purse cannot be lifted out park my cart so that I can watch it when I am reaching for something and I do not walk away from it. Also try to have your wallet the same color as the inside of your purse as it makes it easier to hide and it just cannot be plucked out. They will catch this person as the pic is very good, but it is the time of year that it gets worse. Think a minute, not everyone that passes you is honest.

Amen 'jadwan'! I ALWAYS zip my purse and lock it in with the seatbelt also. This way even if i do turn around, they sure aren't going to grab adn run adn I will definitely hear the 'zip'. Some people are just asking for it. No, she didn't deserve her wallet to be stolen but when you clearly leave it out and open for all to see, well you are inviting trouble. Be careful everyone. Its that time of year when all the losers and thiefs come out.

A crime like this is no doubt related, in some way, to drugs. If we are to make Spokane County a safe place to live and raise families we must do something. An easy way to help is to contact your legislature and let them know that cuts in helping get people off drugs is making the public susceptible to such crimes. For every $1 we spend now on getting people off drugs we save taxpayers $7-10 later in police work, courts, jail, emergency rooms, etc. This is a documented fact. Go to http://apps.leg.wa.gov/districtfinder/ and send an email it really is easy to do.
