SPOKANE -- Officials with the Washington State Liquor Control Board will be in Spokane bars Wednesday night, making sure no one is over-served on St. Patrick's Day.
"I think St. Patrick's Day is the biggest drinking event," says Lt. Rob Reynolds with the WSLCB. "Cinco de Mayo comes in a close second."
Reynolds and other officials will be in plain clothes Wednesday night, going in and out of Spokane bars and keeping an eye on both patrons and bartenders.
Reynolds says similar patrols on Saturday were a success and may have prevented any drinking and driving related tragedies.
