POST FALLS, ID. -- Students and teachers in Great Falls, Montana, are mourning the deaths of two teenagers, killed in a four-vehicle wreck in Post Falls, Idaho, Tuesday night.
Destiney Moore, 16, was on her way to Seattle for dialysis treatment. Her boyfriend, Michael Martinez, 17, was going along for support.
Moore's mother, Tracy, was driving the couple and a 5-year-old child when she suddenly lost control of her SUV in patches of freezing rain near Seltice Way.
Tracy's SUV crossed the westbound lanes into oncoming traffic, and it was struck by two more vehicles -- one of them a truck with a snow plow attached. A third car clipped the crashed vehicles.
Tracy and the child are hospitalized in satisfactory condition.
As for the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles -- 11-people in all -- everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
Some were treated and released from the hospital, and others surprisingly walked away without injury.
Moore and Martinez were students at Great Falls High School. Martinez was a member of the soccer team. Staff say many students have come through the counseling center, and the soccer team held a private meeting with their coaches.
