SPOKANE -- A former civilian survival school instructor at Fairchild Air Force Base has been found not guilty of three counts of First Degree Rape and one count of assault.
Michael Fassbender testified in his own defense earlier this week, claiming sex in the interrogation room at Fairchild Air Force Base was consensual.
Fassbender testified he met the woman online and then the pair went on base because she was interested in his job.
He told the jury after the encounter, in which Fassbender testified that he choked the woman and slapped her, that she had tears in her eyes, but said he "knew in his heart" he didn't rape her.
