SPOKANE -- Spokane's city council has approved a huge tax break for some of the first home buyers at Kendall Yards.

257 multi-family home buyers will not pay property taxes for 12 years.  The incentive is designed to increase new development in the city's neighborhood cores.

One-third of the 78-acre Kendall Yards development will be affected.  The first phase of Kendall Yards has been approved by the city.
