SPOKANE -- The rain has arrived in the Inland Northwest, making a very soggy Monday.

Expect rain to continue all day, with some light snow falling at times in the higher elevations. The first major snowfall of the season is expected in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains today into Tuesday.

Gusty winds may develop through the evening hours.

Temperatures will stay in the high 40's throughout the day, and a similar weather pattern will continue for much of the week.
