SPOKANE COUNTY-- On Tuesday, sheriff’s detectives arrested the 18-year-old roommate of a North Spokane man found murdered on October 18th.
Miguel A. Rodriguez-Barbosa was booked into the Spokane County Jail about 3 p.m. on a felony count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.
Detectives found several hundred grams of marijuana when they executed a search warrant on victim Jesus Torres Valdovinos’ home at 623 E. Vicksburg last Tuesday.
Valdovinos’ body was found wrapped in blankets on the shoulder of Day-Mt. Spokane Road about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, October 18th. Autopsy showed he had died from a gunshot wound to his head. No arrest has been made in the homicide.
Detectives are still looking for a love seat missing from the home at the time of the search, and today announced they are seeking information on a storage unit rented in the Spokane area by either Valdovinos or Rodriguez-Barbosa.
Anyone with information regarding the love seat, storage unit, or Valdovinos’ activities the weekend of October 17th is encouraged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
