SPOKANE -- The condition of a recent Washington State University graduate found bleeding and unconscious along a rural road in Whitman County is improving.
Monday morning, Sacred Heart personnel reported Kristen Grindley, 23, had been moved out of the intensive care unit and is now listed in satisfactory condition.
Whitman County detectives believe Grindley was either pushed from a vehicle, or hit by one on Pullman-Albion Road last week when she was found.
Detectives have questioned several people in the case, including Grindley's boyfriend, but say no one is a suspect yet. Detectives have also searched the residence where Grindley and her boyfriend both lived, his pick-up truck, and his cell phone records.
Search warrants in the case were sealed by Whitman County prosecutors on Monday.
