SPOKANE -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Okanogan Valley until noon Friday. It includes the following locations: Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Bridgeport, Oroville, Nespelem, and Disautel Pass.

A quick moving cold front will bring snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches to the region today. The highest accumulations will fall from Malott to Disautel Pass on Highway 155, where 2 to 3 inches will be possible.

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Snow is also in the forecast for much of the rest of the Inland Northwest as well. Expect 1 to 2 inches in the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene areas, and 2 to 3 inches to the north of those areas. Moses Lake, Pullman and Lewiston areas are expected to get less than an inch of snow accumulation from this storm.

Where is this so called snow everyone seems to be talking about, Does anyone actually know how to predict the weather? Krem said this morning, weather.com was saying 9am, other news/weather sources were saying 10am.

It's been snowing in Ritzville since about 11:30 - starting to accumulate, so it's probably about to Spokane by now.

Living in North Idaho, I know I'm supposed to be ready for snow, but for some reason I'm still in summer or at least sunny mode. I'm sure I'll be in for a rude awakening later today, sigh...

Ya," Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Bridgeport, Oroville, Nespelem, and Disautel Pass." Get some data for Spokane, who cares about 170 miles from here, nobody lives there anyway..... When i see winter storm warning I want to see if it affects the 250 thousand people here in Spookyhollow..not Oroville, whatever...

Snow? You want snow? Last year you got snow. Before that, you only THOUGHT you had snow. You won't get anywhere near the snow you got last year, so forget about draining your savings to buy a semi load of snow shovels to make a killing off of. I'm up here where the big storm warning was for. Guess what? It's 9:00 p.m., and there is no snow now, and hasn't snowed all day. Thanks for the warning.
