CURLEW, Wash. -- A benefit will be held this weekend for the victims of an apartment building fire that killed three people in Curlew days before Christmas.
The fire on December 22 killed 3-year-old Helen Brown, 2-year-old Gale Ryken, and the young girls' grandmother.
More than a dozen other families who live in the building escaped the fire. Some people jumped from their apartment windows to safety.
Saturday, January 9, there will be a concert and spaghetti feed at the Curlew Civic Hall. The concert begins at noon and the dinner begins at 3:00 p.m. Both events run until 6:00 p.m.
The cost of the dinner is $5.00 per person.
