KIX BROOKS LAUNCHING SOLO MUSIC CAREER

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Kix Brooks is launching his solo music career two years after Brooks and Dunn split up. He's been acting in movies and says he wrote songs while on set. Now he has a new single coming out called "New To This Town" and a full album he plans to release soon. The single features Joe Walsh of the Eagles. It's about those moments after a breakup when the last thing you want to do is run into your ex. Brooks says he can relate to the song even though he's been happily married for 30 years, because he has a good memory. The single will be officially released to country radio on March 19th.
