NEW YORK (AP) -- Director Kathryn Bigelow defends the torture scenes in "Zero Dark Thirty." Some have criticized them, saying they make it seem like tortured prisoners gave the information that led to Osama bin Laden. She says there was no question these interrogation techniques would be in the movie "because it's part of the history" of the search for bin Laden. But she says "many, many different tactics" were used in the decade it took to find and kill bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty opens nationwide today.
