LENNY KRAVITZ LANDS MARVIN GAYE ROLE

NEW YORK (AP) -- Lenny Kravitz will play Marvin Gaye in a movie about Gaye's life. His publicist confirms Kravitz will play Gaye in a film that will begin production next year. It will focus on Gaye's life in the 1980s when he dealt with addiction and trying to restart his career. Gaye's father shot him to death in 1984. This will be Kravitz's first lead role in a film.
