WYCLEF JEAN: TELLING HIS LIFE IN A BOOK

MIAMI (AP) -- Between his music, politics and efforts on behalf of his native Haiti, Wyclef Jean's life has been an open book. Now he has a written a book to tell about his experiences. It's called "Purpose" and goes into detail about his cheating on his wife with fellow Fugee Lauryn Hill. Jean says he didn't have trouble opening up on subjects -- even on those that cast him in a bad light. He says he is "direct about everything" and is "bluntly honest" when it comes to talking about his life.
