FRANK ROBINSON: HELPS TEAM IN NEED

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California (AP) -- Frank Robinson has been away from the on-field part of Major League Baseball for a while now. But he is proving his heart is still very much with the game. Robinson works for the commissioner's office. And when he heard some baseball equipment had been swiped from a Southern California high school, he stepped up to the plate. His wife and their daughter have presented a $4,000 check to the school. The Orange County Register reports the donation is just one in a series of fundraising efforts to help the school.
