LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Alicia Keys raised her singing voice -- while other celebrities like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts used their speaking voices -- in the fight against cancer. Dozens of stars were on the Stand Up To Cancer Telethon, which aired Friday. Some of the stars who took part had seen cancer strike or kill a family member, while others have fought the disease themselves. The telethon included short films about people fighting the disease, including a 3-year-old boy named Justin. After the clip was shown, Justin Timberlake urged the audience to stand on behalf of his younger namesake. The hour-long program is the third of its kind -- and was carried commercial-free by the major broadcast networks and a number of cable channels.
