NICKI MINAJ: CANCELS APPEARANCE IN U.K.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Because she performed at a free concert in New York last week, Nicki Minaj may have missed out on a paid gig over the weekend. She had to scrub her appearance at the V Festival in the U.K. because of damaged vocal cords. Her rep says she has "strained" cords -- and a doctor has ordered her rest. Minaj performed a free concert in New York on Wednesday, even though a doctor told her to rest. Her people say her voice is now "worse" -- and that X-rays indicate she needs to "rest her voice for a few days." Minaj performed for more than two hours at her free New York show, which featured Drake, Lil Wayne and Foxy Brown.
