NICKI MINAJ: "AMERICAN IDOL" BOUND?

NEW YORK (AP) -- Is Nicki Minaj going to be the latest judge named to the "American Idol" panel? There are signs that might happen. A source close to the entertainer says Minaj has been in talks to judge the show -- and that a deal is in the works. The person spoke on condition that they not be identified because they weren't authorized to talk about the matter in public. Fox -- which airs the show -- says it has no comment. If Minaj does join the show, she will be on the judges' panel with Mariah Carey, who signed on as a judge this summer, after Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez quit. The show starts up again in January.
