VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- His mom cried. His dad was embarrassed. Jake Owen's wedding weekend didn't turn out exactly like he planned when he was nearly arrested for dancing around in an old man mask at a Steak and Shake in Florida. Owen tweeted the whole encounter, including a picture of himself in handcuffs next to a sheriff's car. He was let go when people in the restaurant explained that Owen had been joking. Owen went off on law enforcement in tweets that have since been deleted. He wrote, "You give a guy a gun and a badge and he thinks he's John Wayne." Owen later apologized for criticizing the official, saying the sheriff's office "was doing their job." In another tweet, he said he "had too good of a time on Cinco de Mayo." UNDATED (AP) -- Forget about a long engagement, Jake Owen is a married man less than a month after he proposed to girlfriend Lacey Buchanan. The couple tied the knot in Owen's hometown of Vero Beach, Florida, on Monday in a sunrise ceremony. He tells People.com that it was his idea to get up early, saying "it's symbolic of the dawn of a new day and starting" their life together. Owen and his bride were surrounded by 30 family members. Owen's twin brother, Jarrod, was his best man, and his uncle officiated. Owen says the wedding was "really emotional" for everyone and calls it "the most surreal moment" of his life. He plans to go on a honeymoon before hitting the road with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw on the "Brothers of the Sun" stadium tour in June.
