JURY SELECTION STARTS IN JENNIFER HUDSON FAMILY MURDERS

CHICAGO (AP) -- Jury selection has begun in the trial of the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew in October 2008. Potential jurors filled out questionnaires yesterday in Chicago, and the judge will question them Monday. Prosecutors say William Balfour shot Hudson's relatives because he was jealous that his estranged wife -- Hudson's sister -- was dating another man. Balfour greeted the jurors good afternoon and many of them responded in kind. Hudson's name is on the list of potential witnesses. The judge has also banned reporters from posting updates to Twitter, Facebook and similar sites from inside the courtroom because the constant typing could be distracting. Court officials will monitor the reporters' accounts to make sure.
