MICHAEL JACKSON: CHARTER JET COMPANY SETTLES WITH SINGER'S LAWYERS
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Some legal housekeeping for some of the attorneys who represented Michael Jackson during his 2005 child molestation charge. Mark Geragos and his law partner have reached a $2.5 million settlement against the owner of a charter jet company that secretly recorded the lawyers and Jackson as they flew from Las Vegas to California for the singer to be booked on those child molestation charges. There's little chance the lawyers will end up seeing the money; the charter company is defunct and the defendant has no money to pay. At one point Jackson himself was part of the suit, but he dropped out as a plaintiff in April, 2005.
