NICOLE RICHIE: TO MENTOR WANNABE FASHION DESIGNERS

NEW YORK (AP) -- Nicole Richie will mentor wannabe fashion designers on "Fashion Star" that starts tonight on NBC. Jessica Simpson will also be a mentor to the 14 contestants. Elle McPherson will host. Each week, the contestants will design clothes and after the episodes many of them will be available to Macy's, H-and-M and Saks. The shows were taped six months ago. The winner gets a total of $6 million in orders for their designs from all three retailers.
