Tourist in Your Town: December 1-4

SPOKANE, Wash.— Looking for something fun to do? Here are some of our favorite events going on this weekend!

The Nutcracker Ballet: Dec. 1-4

Join the Spokane Symphony and Santa Barbara State Street Ballet as they perform the holiday-favorite ballet. Local dancers drawn from dance schools across the region will also join the cast.

Christmas Tree Elegance: Now – Dec.11

A classic Spokane favorite, Christmas Tree Elegance features decorated Christmas trees around Spokane. The trees are raffled off and the money fundraised goes to benefit the Spokane Symphony.

A Charlie Brown Christmas: Dec.3-11

Charlie Brown, Linus, Sally, Lucy and the rest of the Peanuts gang hit the stage at the Spokane Civic Theater for this year’s production of A Charlie Brown Christmas. The show features the theater’s Academy students and is sure to be a great production.

First Friday: Dec. 2

Several local businesses participate in First Friday and this month’s event is jam-packed with art galleries, live music and other fun attractions.

Community Day at Spokane Ice Palace: Dec.  3

Downtown Spokane partnered with Riverfront Park to offer free admission Sunday at the Ice Palace from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Officials said it's all courtesy of Washington Trust Bank. Other fun activities include $1 hot cocoa, free skating lessons at 12 p.m. and a Charlie Brown dance contest at 1 p.m.
