Reindeer show up at River Park Square

Are you looking for something to get you in the holiday spirit? Here’s a list of events going on around the Inland Northwest:

River Park Square Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 17 at 6:00 p.m. at River Park Square

Santa and two of his reindeer will help light the 50-foot Christmas tree at 7:00 p.m. There will be free hot chocolate and face painting. The CYT Spokane’s Christmas Quartets will perform at 6:30 p.m.  

Kellogg Christmas Lighting Festival

November 25 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Silver Mountain 

A craft show from noon to 5:30 p.m. in Noah's Loft.  The staff house museum is free of charge from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and get you can get your photo taken with Santa. After dark a parade will begin in historic uptown Kellogg and end at Silver Mountain where there will be a tree lighting, hot drinks, caroling, and fireworks in the village. Wrap up the evening with a free, all ages showing of "Lifted" in Noah's Loft. 

Custer's 41st Annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Show

November 17-19 at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center

$7 admission. Kids under 12 are free

Friday 10:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Over 300 artisans from across the northwest will display and sell their fine art, hand crafts and specialty foods. 

Green Bluff Christmas Experience

November 24-December 23 at High Country Orchard 

Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride across Green Bluff to cut down your own Christmas tree, do some wine tasting, eat lunch and do some shopping. It is $65 for any size U-cut tree, sleigh ride and lunch! $15 per additional adult, $12 per additional child. Private rides for two are also available! Buy tickets here

A Christmas Story, The Musical

November 17-December 17 at the Spokane Civic Theatre

You have seen the movie, now come see the play! It’s the story of Ralphie Parker and his quest to get a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas.

Adults: $32
Seniors (65+), Military, Students (5-25): $30

Find Rudolph 

November 25-December 18

Look for Rudolph in 25 businesses and organizations in Downtown Spokane. It is an easy was to tour Downtown and earn a chance to win cool prizes. 

Family Skate Day

December 18 between 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Check out the new Riverfront Park Ice Ribbon with free ice skating admission for the first 500 attendees. Skate rental is $4.50

Nutcracker Ballet

November 30-December 3 at the Fox

For more than 175 years, the story of Clara and her Nutcracker prince has delighted children of all ages. This beloved escape to the Land of Sweets, featuring State Street Ballet, 75 local dancers and live music composed by Tchaikovsky and performed by the Spokane Symphony.

Kids Day at Mobius Children’s Museum and Mobius Science Center 

December 8

Washington Trust Bank is hosting free admission between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. for the first 500 attendees at Mobius Children’s Museum and Mobius Science Center. Stop in for family friendly activities including holiday science, crafts and door prizes.

“Christmas with a Twist: ‘Tis the Season for Family”

November 24-December 17

Each season, The Coeur d'Alene Resort features a timeless original holiday theatre production by Ellen Travolta, capturing the spirit of the Christmas season. This season, Ellen Travolta and her team of talent are preparing a special holiday show based on actual Christmas stories submitted by the local community.
