Weekend 2 Do: Aug. 2- Sept. 4

Food, entertainment and antiques will be taking over the Inland Northwest this weekend. It wasn’t too hard to find some awesome things to do this weekend.

Pig Out in The Park August 31-September 5

The 37th annual food and music festival is already underway! It features unique local foods, music and some out of this world stories. One change for Pig Out in The Park will be the location. It is now just north of the Howard Street Bridge because of the renovations happening across Riverfront Park. There are a lot of great bands performing including Sir Mix-A-Lot. The event is free to the public but of course the food is not. For more information, visit their website.

Dave Mathews Band September 2-4

Labor Dave is back at The Gorge for yet another performance this Labor Day weekend. This is the 25th year in a row the band has performed at the Gorge on Labor Day weekend. They’ve actually played there more than 50 times. This is said to be their last performance at the popular music venue for at least a year while the band takes time off. Tickets are still available online.

Carrie Underwood September 4

The country superstar is headed to the Spokane Arena Sunday night for her “Story Teller Tour.” The seven-Grammy winner’s concerts are getting rave reviews and it’s sure to be a show stopping performance. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are still available online.

Funky Junk Antique and Craft Show September 3-4

This grassroots antique and craft show is sure to keep you busy for hours. This year the Bonner County Fairgrounds is hosting the event. Organizers say it’s a fun way to buy local, recycle and keep more of your hard earned cash. It starts at 10:00 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.n. each day. Tickets are just $5 and are good for both days. Kids under 12 are free!
