“The Terminator” will join the list of movie franchises getting a re-boot.
Paramount Pictures announced Thursday that it will team with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures for a new trilogy. The first movie is due June 26, 2015.
There is speculation that the original Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will have some role in the new films.
Paramount did not announce a director.
The first four films have earned over $1 billion at the box office since the franchise launched in 1984. It also spawned a short-lived TV series.
