Northside house searched in murder investigation

SPOKANE -- Spokane County Sheriff's officials conducted a search at a North Spokane home Tuesday in relation to a murdered man found over the weekend.

Spokane County Sheriff's Sergeant Dave Reagan says the search is connected to the 25-year-old man found dead on Day-Mt. Spokane Road Sunday, identified Tuesday as Jesus Torres Valdovinos.

Deputies say Valdovinos lived at the home at 623 Vicksburg Court, where detectives gathered evidence.

A couple walking on the road found Valdovinos's body wrapped in blankets on the side of the road.

An autopsy was completed Monday, however, detectives have not released the cause of death, other than homicidal violence.
