(WHAS11)- Meyzeek Middle School students are learning just how destructive bullying can be with the help of a new initiative called Rachel’s Challenge.
It began as a tribute to Rachel Scott who was the first person killed at Columbine High School in April 1999.
The program focuses on Rachel's acts of kindness and how students can make a positive change.
The students at Meyzeek watched a video presentation and had a training session Wednesday.
Rachel's Challenge is being phased into all pre-kindergarten classrooms, all 90 elementary schools and 25 middle schools over the next few years.
