This week, several Inland Northwest schools are launching Rachel's Challenge. The pro-kindness program was inspired by a 17-year-old girl killed in the Columbine shootings.
Spokane State Representative Kevin Parker supports Rachel's Challenge and will speak at a community event later this week. Parker was a 25-year-old Young Life Leader who happened to be inside Columbine during the tragedy.
KREM 2 News will be heading to the following Rachel’s Challenge events this week:
Tuesday: Riverside School District in North Spokane County.
Wednesday: Mountainside Middle School and Okanogan.
Thursday: Northwood Middle School and Mead High School community meeting.
Friday: Ephrata Middle School.
