SPOKANE, Wash.--Cancer Care Northwest uses cutting edge technology on a daily basis, one in particular is stereo-tactic body radio surgery.  Stereo-tactic body radiation therapy is also known as SBRT.  SBRT is a specific type of radiation that allows doctors to pinpoint tumors everywhere in the body.  It’s a treatment that can be very fast, accurate and protects normal surrounding areas in the body.

Rapid Arc Technology is something else doctors at Cancer Care Northwest are using.  It is new technology that allows doctors to deliver accurate radiation by changing the shape of the treatment beam as it rotates 360 degrees around the patient.
