The Coeur d’Alene Tribe Benewah Medical and Wellness Center has seen progression in both policy and place through a move and a grant in the past year-and-a-half. The brand new 50,000 square foot facility provides a home to all clinical and administrative departments; and The Community Transformation Grant funds efforts to fuel the conversation around health topics.
“Awareness is the first step in any transformation,” says Marquette Hendrickx, Grant Project Director. Hendrickx continues by explaining the importance of an integrated system with schools, businesses and the community working together to affect policy and raise awareness about healthy living choices.
