COEUR d'ALENE, ID-- KREM 2's Katie Boer is continuing her journey across the Inland Northwest to educate local elementary students on the world of weather. Friday, Nov. 2, Katie visited her largest group ever: 120 second graders from Ramsey Science Magnet School in Coeur d'Alene.
Obviously bringing 120 students into the studio for a tour is one tough task, so Katie took the studio with her, sharing a behind the scenes DVD of how the studio works, where cameras are positioned and how she puts together the weather forecast.
The students we're very knowledgeable about weather from the get-go, as Ramsey Elementary has their own weather station technology. The students asked questions about how the green screen works and how weather storms happen.
