KREM 2's Morning Weather Anchor Katie Boer added another Inland Northwest stop to her list of local schools she's visiting talking about the weather.

Katie visited Ms. Howard's 4th grade class at Skyway Elementary in Coeur d'Alene Thursday. A class she recognized as a "really great, exciting group of kids." Ms. Howard's class learned about Hurricanes, Thunderstorms, the changing of seasons and how a TV news studio works, including how green "keys" out, on a green screen.

The students asked Katie questions like how early she wakes up, what's the worst storm she's ever been in, and if shes ever witnessed cloud to ground lightning.

One of the students, Kayson, said he was a big football fan and learned that the distance from the Earth to the Sun is the equivalent of 1,636,800,000 football fields!
