I woke up for work Saturday morning and looked out of my bedroom window astounded to see snow. Sometimes uploading the forecast onto KREM.com keeps me so busy that I can’t watch it myself.

Not minutes into my workday did I begin hearing of multiple wrecks and street closures. As a weekend web producer at KREM, I’m responsible for running the assignment desk, listening to scanners, staying in constant contact with police, updating the crawl that runs on the top of your screen (which I know so many sports fans hate),  Tweeting, Facebooking and then, of course, posting to KREM.com in my “down time.”

Saturday was a great day in the newsroom. All of us worked together to give the most informative newscast and website as possible. We hope you agree!

Here’s a small look at how the day unfolded over social media.
