SPOKANE-- Horizon Hospice sponsors a program called We Honor Veterans. It's a chance to say thank you to the men and women who served.
Wednesday Leonard Luckey was honored
80-year old Luckey served 20 years in the Navy, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked as a chef and says he loved every minute of his service. He told KREM 2 News he was surprised by the turnout.
Even though it's been a few years, he fit perfectly into his uniform and was proud to wear it after all these year.
Leonard returned to Spokane after his service in the military and was a chef at the davenport hotel and eventually opened his own restaurant.
