A North Idaho teenager has been making blankets for infants in intensive care for months at Sacret Heart Medical Center.  After hearing about the two Spokane County Deputies who were shot last month she decided to make blankets and pillows for those two men.

13-year-old Hope Newman has turned a Christmas gift for her family into a kind gesture for dozens of children in our area.

She raises money to buy blankets and puts them together on her own.  She's made almost 30 so far and plans to make just as many in the months ahead.

Her mom has watched the project grow and remembers when hope told her she wanted to make blankets for the two deputies shot last month.

each blanket usually takes 40 minutes for her but for these two men she got blankets and pillows for both deputies made in about an hour.

Whether its young kids or grown men she hopes to make keep making a difference in the lives of others.
