SPOKANE-- One Spokane family didn't know if they'd be able to pay off the account before Christmas, when local father rick price received a call from k-mart that his layaway was paid off.

Price said he didn't believe it.

The woman on the voicemail was K-Mart employee Marjie Palmer. She told rick palmer his Christmas layaway was covered.

Palmer didn't know if he could pay it off before the holiday. He said, "It’s a god send, you know it's a blessing it really is."

They picked up the gifts this morning.

The Price family is not the only one's touched by a layaway angel.

Anonymous donors have paid-off a dozen layaways at the Spokane k-mart totaling around $16,000.

Layaway angels paid off accounts with toys and children’s clothes first.

K-Mart employees told KREM 2 News one donor paid $9,000 towards other people's layaway accounts.
