Jazz legend John Clayton jams with Ferris HS students

SPOKANE -- Grammy ® Award winning Artistic Director John Clayton mentored music students at Ferris High School Tuesday.

Clayton is a world renowned jazz bassist, composer, arranger, and conductor.  He is in the Spokane area through Thursday working with local jazz bands.

He has worked with Quincy Jones, Diana Krall, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Natalie Cole and George Benson.

You can see Clayton and the Ferris High School jazz orchestra at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival February 20th through 23rd at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
