SPOKANE -- The City of Spokane begins it's annual leaf pickup services next week.

Starting Tuesday, November 3, and running through mid-December, crews will rake all leaves that fall naturally into Spokane streets to clear them away from drains, and aid with safe driving as winter approaches.

Residents are advised to not rake leaves from their yard into the street. Instead, waste-to-energy facilities will be accepting up to 100 pounds of yard waste free of charge. Anything exceeding 100 pounds will be charged 35 cents per 20 pounds.
