SPOKANE-- The long-awaited Mobius Science Center opened Friday in downtown Spokane. The $12 million facility took a decade to become a reality.

The Mobius Science Center is located in the former JC Penny building on Main and Lincoln. It's described as one big science playground for everyone.

Mobius CEO Chris Majer says it's dream come true, after 10 years of getting money together and finding a location and construction. “The best part about it is the sound. We've been listening to construction sound and exhibit installers and tools and now we are listening to kids and people.”

Majer calls Mobius an ‘excitement center’, getting kids excited about the notions of studying science.

There are 65 exhibits.

Tickets for the science center are $10 for adults and $7 for kids.
